ALWAYS HATIN’: TARGET REFUSES TO SELL FRANK OCEAN ALBUM; CHANNEL ORANGE!!!

More controversy surrounds the release of Frank Ocean’s debut album Channel Orange which Ocean released a week early exclusively on iTunes.

This has caused Target to decide they won’t sell the physical copy when it drops next Tuesday July 17th. Target is saying it will not carry the album because of the early release, but Christian Clancy who represents Frank Ocean and his Odd Future group mates is implying it is for another reason.

This all comes to light after the singer had released his coming out letter last week telling the world he had once loved another man. But it doesn’t seem like this is the reason Target is not carrying the physical copy in their store, as Target has been known to NOT carry a musician’s work if they set up an exclusive deal with iTunes. Plus target carries many other gay-friendly, gay, bi artists (Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga, Mika, etc) so Mr. Clancy might be stretching a bit here.
