BIRDMAN COMES TO DRAKES DEFENSE ON THE CLUB FIGHT

After a bloody nightclub brawl with Chris Brown last week, Drake has gone from highly-sought-after rapper to possible wanted criminal. And with the world now watching his every move, Drake recently hit the stage in Wantagh, Long Island and (kind of) addressed his current media scandal.

After sets from his fellow “Club Paradise” tour compatriots, Meek Mill (who was allegedly also a part of the brawl), Waka Flocka Flame, J. Cole, 2 Chainz and French Montana, Drake took the stage at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater and alluded to the violent brawl at NYC’s W.i.P nightclub.

“When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things,” he told the crowd of 15,000. “But the only thing I gave a f**k about was that I was in New York City tonight.”

Shortly after the brawl, Drake’s camp released a statement, claiming that Drake had nothing to do with the fight and that he was leaving the club when it happened. And last week, Drake’ Cash Money boss, Birdman, came to Drizzy’s defense, claiming he was innocent of any wrongdoing.

“To me, Drizzy ain’t did nothin’ wrong, he ain’t done nothin’ wrong to nobody. He just doin’ great music,” said Birdman to” MTV News.” “He’s not a reckless guy out there just wildin’ out; he’s a humble kid makin’ great music.”
